Despite the Civil Rights Movement led by Dr. King and the changes to the American Democracy that promised to be more inclusive, Black Americans in Poverty continue to be stigmatized and spoken for in systems of "We Know Best Politics" where little can be said to counter those ideologies. We HAVE A DREAM that we will realize Dr. King's Dream in South Bend and that will catch fire so Black Americans everywhere can find renewed hope. The first step is to consolidate our voice. Please hear us. Please listen. This starts now.
"We have also come to this hallowed spot (my lord) to remind America of the fierce urgency of now. This is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism. Now is the time to make real the promise of democracy. Now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice. Now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood."

SADLY THESE WORDS SPOKEN OVER 50 YEARS AGO COULDN'T BE MORE RELEVANT TO OUR PLIGHT TODAY!
